Transfering photos: Mac to PC

I moved some pictures from My Mac running Snow Leopard to my wife's PC. She is running Win7. The transfer went fine and the photos look OK but the icons all have an ! on them.

Does anyone know why the exclamation points are there?
I made the transfer using the "Go to Server" function in the Finder and connected with smb://ip address

I found the reason

The red exclamation points are put there by Mozy backup software. Going into Mozy configuration/Options/General and unchecking "show backup status icon on files and folders" clears this up.
