Surround Sound?

I was wondering if it's possible for me to set up a cheap surround sound system for my mac. If so, what sort of hardware should I look for? Will I need to download additional software?

I have this in-mind for watching DVD primarily, but I guess I can use it to listen to music as well.


I have 12" PowerBook G4 running on 1.33 GHz and 1.25 GB of memory.

Any suggestions?

I just checked Griffin's website, and they are about to release this product wich is the only one that i know thatmay give you what you need.

I have surround sound in my room, and I just connect my mac to it when I want surround sound on my mac. klipsche and logitech, and a few others make some decent surround systems.
