Are you using Snow Leopard? (10.6.X) Many screensavers which formly worked OK with Leopard no longer will work with Snow Leopard. I have had to discard several of my favorites for that reason.

If you are using Snow Leopard, make sure the Dexter screensaver has been updated to work.
