Why does it take longer than 2 hours to upload a 3 minute HD video to youtube?

my settings are all the highest quality, movie to quick time movie, best quality, etc. I go to upload it on youtube and it takes LONGER than TWO HOURS. sometimes even four!

Other people that have the same settings as me, only said it takes around 6 minutes, and my video is 3 minutes long. I have fast internet. no other programs running, or anything. my macbook is fine, it just takes FOREVER.

why?

What type of Internet connection do you have? It's possible that your upload speeds are just very low.

Yes...like Kash mentioned...if you have something like a cable modem...upload speeds are MUCH slower than download speeds.
