Sennheiser Earbuds when active
Grado 80s when out and about (less worry about damage)
Grado 325 most of the time

Grado RS1 stay on the main system 100% but are generally turned off at the amp.

Just some cheap £4 Panasonic ones from Argos :D

The original iPod earphones just scream out ''Please mug me'', especially if you have to travel daily back and forth between the suburbs and Central London.

On my second set however as the first ones blew-up something crazy. But free 90 day replacement period so not on my dime.

They definitely don't "blow". I have tried several different noise cancelling headphones and the only pair that was close to the Bose for noise cancelling were the Sennheiser PXC250. (And trust me I know about head-fi)

No the sound is great but when I buy a pair of noise cancelling headphones my primary reason for buying them is to cancel out surrounding noises.

Having been in the consumer electronics business for the last 7 years I can honestly agree with trpnmonkey. For the headphones, the BOSE "Quiet Comfort" (noise cancelling) headphones are quite nice. I hate BOSE equipment as a general rule. And the BOSE phrase is "No highs, no lows, must be BOSE" if you wanna get technical. If I were after a set of noise cancelling headphones I'd consider the BOSE. Lightweight, comfortable, and reasonable sound for a noise-cancelling set (compared to the others from sony, jvc, harmon, etc). I personally wouldn't go for a noise cancelling set, however, I'd just get a intra-aural set like the Shure e2 but different strokes for different folks.
