I'm just curious, my new 17" Powerbook only thinks that it's hard drive is 93 GB total. Is this normal? Is a section being partitioned off for restore or something? Is there any way to gan access to the other 7GB? On Windows computers I've noticed they will often read the HD as less than it really is, but never by this much.

Thanks!

yea, os x takes a minimum of 3 gigs, then apps, fonts, etc take the rest of what you're missing, plus its probably sold as a 100 gig hd, but really is only about 98-99.
