I have a Macbook and I am using an external screen. While using my external screen I never use the Macbook screen and feel its sorta a waste to have it on. Is there a way to disable the Macbook screen and just use my external screen?

Thanks!

No, not without doing modifications to your MacBook. Just continue to operate it in clamshell mode (top lid closed). But when you do, it's best to keep the machine elevated from the rear off your desk or table. That will allow better cooling while the top lid is closed.

Regards.

Yeah, I just close the lid of my MacBook Pro while it's connected to my external monitor. I figure that way it's less wear on the screen also.
