Hey guys, just curious:

I am getting a Free Agent Go passport drive and I want to make sure that I can put my PC files (XP) and my Mac files together for easy access (that and my PCs are filling up).

I also want to partition for Time Machine.

Does that mean I need 3 sections, one for TM, one for Mac and one or PC

or

Can I just have 2 sections, one for TM and one in Fat32, which I read will let both Windows and PC files co-exist in harmony.

-Mark
Thanks!

You only need two partitions: One HFS+ for Time Machine, the other FAT-32 for PC and Mac files. Note however... FAT-32 is limited to a single file size of around 4 GB.

Regards.

Yes. That's known as HFS+ or the OS X extended journal file system.

Regards.
