I have a Lacie 2TB big disc that won't mount on my IMac after being disconnected for a few weeks. When I open time machine preferences and turn time machine on I get a message that the computer is scanning for wireless devices. The Lacie is not wireless so it can't be found. How can I get the computer to scan for wired devices?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't see that screen the screen I see is Time Machine on or off. If I choose ON the computer searches for a wireless device. If I click on CHOOSE BACKUP DISK the computer searches for a wireless device.

I'd suggest you open that screen that has the on or off on it and take a look at the rest of the window.
