Here is my Xbench results with Panther 10.3.9 (before Tiger install):

http://ladd.dyndns.org/xbench/merge.xhtml?doc1=108221

After Tiger install:

http://ladd.dyndns.org/xbench/merge.xhtml?doc1=108243

PowerBook G4 1.5GHz
1GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9700 (128MB)
80 GB Hard Drive
Superdrive

I noticed that Safari seems faster rendering pages and Flash and Photoshop are snappier too. Still playing with the rest of it as there are a bunch of cool things to find. :p

Okay, here are my pre and post Tiger results on the iMac spec'd at the left.

Before Tiger my total score was 155.42 with a cpu score of 170.11.

http://ladd.dyndns.org/xbench/merge.xhtml?doc1=108404&doc2=108241

After the Tiger install my scores imporved slightly to 162.62 total score with a cpu score of 170.75.

All in all, very minor, but not bad for $70 and some new features. I would also note that the pre tiger run was with no uneeded apps running, whereas the Tiger results are with the Dashboard and Activity monitor running. And yes, I know I typo'd G6 on one of my bench test results. ;)

no idea how to post the results on here

It looks like you may have your CPU set to 'Automatic' which is the reason for the somewhat low scores. Hot to Systems Pref - Energy Saver and bump the CPU up to highest and your core should increase.

Yeah, on both of my tests I had the CPU on Automatic and stuff running that normally runs on a fresh bootup just so I could see the difference of now and then.

I'll give it another go though tonight setting it on Performance and restarting with the Shift key held down and see what kind of results I get.

I still have to upgrade my G4 iMac (1.25GHz Lampshade). :}

I actually did a whole bunch when I did my benchmarks. I took the highest score out of around 20 odd separate tests.. and I will do that once in awhile until I have the highest scores in each field that I can get with Panther, then I will try it again with Tiger when I install it. So far the highest score I got was a little over 161 overrall.

I didn't know it was an option to set CPU level on a desktop! My G4 iMac doesn't have that option. All my laptops have the option!

thats a good score with a 1.8 megahertz processor lol <<-- you need to change ur sig. does a dual setup really not mean that much over a single? my dual cpu score is only 3 points higher than the single

Everything seems delayed and sluggish. I'm hoping it's just busy indexing for spotlight or whatever... but everything happens 2 seconds after I click it.
