Ok, so I have a HUGE mix of .m4a and .mp3 files on my desktop HD that I want to completely convert to .mp3 so they can be loaded onto and played by the iRiver H320.
I have Adobe Audition pro audio editing program, but the problem is I dont think it can edit .m4a files, boo, thumbs down for Adobe on that part.
I have iTunes, but that would take absolutely forever.

Anybody have any ideas?

do you mean the .m4a's you get from ITMS? you might try sound converter, or maybe mac3dec, or cleaner by discreet.
