I just want to open one torrent containing documents I can find nowhere else on the web, but no matter what client I use, the download stays at 0 and doesn't budge. It's not just that torrent file, but even a couple of other test files confirmed that it just doesn't work. Why?

In the preferences, it says "port open", and my firewall is off. I'm running OS 10.5.8, and my internet connection is fast but wireless.

Here's a pic from Transmission (which is the client I'm currently trying to get to work) of my preference pane... what is wrong?

Is there a setting anywhere in system preferences that could be blocking torrents? Answer please! This forum seems incredibly slow and all my threads have died with zero posts.

Have you NAT tested the port you are using?
Does the torrent in question actually have a seed showing?
