So, I now have my Win7 Pro HTPC up and running pretty well. It's connected to the wall mounted plasma.
My MBP (with 10.6.2) is sitting here next to the recliner. Would like to set it up as the sole control for the HTPC.
Tried TightVNC, it wouldn't connect. Then Chicken of the VNC, which will connect. Now the question is, will any of the screen sharing apps out there allow me to control video, specifically from the DVD/HD-DVD/B-R player? At this point, I can launch the software, but only get an empty black box. Same for all video I've tried thus far.
Have also tried the WinRemote app for the iPhone and it just errors out and refuses to connect. I am guessing because it wants to use the same port that is already in use by the HTPC which is also connected to my WinHomeServer.
