Should i purchase Apple Care?

BRAND NEW IMAC 21 inch 4 gb Ram 500 GB HD and a 3.06 ghz Processor
OK. I just talked to a apple rep from customer service. They said that i had a full year to purchase apple care if i wanted. Should i purchase apple care? What is the benefits with it? Please let me know!

If you're buying a laptop, then most definitely. If you're getting a desktop, then I'm not so sure it's necessary.
