• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Printing directly on DVD's or CD?

This last round of DVD's I bought says that they are printable. How do I do it? I have a PIXMA iP300, I just re-read the entire manual and I couldn't find anything.

So.. Can I print directly on the DVD?

I'm guessing that my printer just can't do it or they would have documented it.

Thoughts?

i dont have no mac's
are they 'lightscribe' disks? those are the ones on that HP commercial in which you can just flip the disk over and it prints on the top of the disk via laser.

that or you would need a different printer. what kind of disks are they?

I don't remember. I bought them off eBay. They were name brand and factory sealed 50 count. The little piece of paper on the top of the first disk said I could print them.

The disks are flat white with a somewhat corse surface, similar to the feel of paper.

Dam I wish I could remember.
