im completely no expert but will this RAM work in the powermac?

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=65719

if so it it any good or should i go with a better make, any suggestions.. ive read archived threads on this board and people have said RAM is more expensive in the uk and is about £150 for 1gb so isnt this one a bit cheap???

It looks like it should work fine with the G5 and Crucial is a good quality ram. I don't know what that uk price relates to US price, but i just paid $103 US for Corsair 1 gig chips.

Check out www.orcalogic.co.uk They are a digital media specialist and will direct you straight to the ram you need for your Mac. They have good prices and the ram i bought from them was delivered in a highly protected box with an antistatic wrist band. I ordered my ram on a Monday and got it on the Tuesday. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Yes, there is a 1G strip of memory around eBay which actually costs more than it does on Crucial. Check the site out, it will be able to determine exactly which type you need.

Yep, Crucial is the way to go. I wouldn't recommend going for "cheapest" as Macs are extremely fussy about the quality of the memory and generally cheapest = most nasty (you must understand that to some degree, having bought Apple rather than some unreliable Time PC for example)

Having said that though, Crucial are very cheap even though their memory is of a high quality and has a lifetime guarantee.. so whilst they're probably not the cheapest compared to some dodgy knockoff from some geezer at a computer fair, you'll be hard pressed to complain at the price.
