Hot to get icon off of desktop?

I have just downloaded MSN Messenger for my new MacBook but I cant get the MSN icon off of my desktop even though it's on my dock too.

Anyone know why this is? :[

Put the icon on your desktop in your Apps folder. If it's already there, delete the one from your desktop. You may have to put the icon (from the apps folder) into your dock and remove the icon that's already there.

PS - why are you using MSN? Download adium... it does MSN, AIM, Jabber, QQ, facebook... really everything.

Cheers mate. But don't either of them do webcam. I dont mind not using it , but can I not view someone elses?

No you can't. However, if I am not wrong, both MSN Messenger and Adium are working on video support. For now, I use Skype for my video conferencing needs.

iChat or aMSN if you need video. Skype sucks IMO.

Despite its lack of video support atm, Adium is still hands down the best chat program for OS X (and Windows now, too though Trillian was pretty cool when I toyed with it).
