I have an 06 Macbook which i love but when i set it down just a wee bit too hard the screen goes black then when i click something it restarts. This has happen twice so i'm worried and the 2nd time was just a second ago and i need to keep this computer running. So if anyone knows whats going on or has and idea that would be fantastic and any help with the problem would be the best. and i'm super tired. night and thanks

My best guess would be a loose battery. Take the battery out, make sure the compartment is clean, inspect the latch mechanism, check the terminals for corrosion or debris, and securely snap it back in place.

Sounds like it's going into sleep mode. Is there any chance that you were holding the Mac in such a way as to be pressing the Command, Option, and Eject keys at the same time? If so, that put the Mac to sleep.

Is it going to sleep and the screen coming back up or is the machine re-booting?

If it's re-booting, yep, I'd say some battery connection.
