quicktime - opening movies in the same window

i am running snow leopard i'm new to mac.. when i click on a movie it opens in quicktime.. when i get bored and want to watch another movie it opens in a new quicktime window.... how do i get it to just open in the same window like it does on windows media player?

I don't think you can. The point of QuickTime Player's design is that if you want to open more than one movie or song at a time, you can. If you really want to have only one window open at a time, you'll have to close the other window first. Or you can look at an alternative like VLC Player, which I believe uses a playlist style more similar to Windows Media Player.
