I'm looking for a decent photo app that is OS X 10.x ready

Not looking for reccomendations on $300 SW - just a decent pacage - I'd been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 for the PC

Would like the app to have an import TWAIN so I can scan directly into it

thx

photoshop elements on mac is good, gimp is good, but doesn't support twain that I know of, as a matter of act, I'm not sure many, if any, do besides adobe PS and PS elements.

Amazon has a $20 rebate on PSE/Mac right now.

GraphicConverter (http://www.lemkesoft.com/en/graphcon.htm) is probably the cheapest option (short of just using Image Capture all the time) at $30/$35. As an editor, it's basic, but as a converter, it's not bad.

PhotoStudio (http://www.arcsoft.com/en/products/photostudiomac/) can import from TWAIN as well. I've used it, and it's an okay piece of software, but I can't recommend it over PSE. There's a free demo.
