hello all

I am not very familiar with mac computers which explains the simple
question. I am trying to connect my pc running XP to a network printer
connected to a mac computer. but in "add printers" wizard it fails to
list the desired printer. Please advise on how i can go about it.
Thanks

OK, please correct me if I am mistaken....

The printer is connected to the Mac.
If the printer is connected to the Mac, the Mac is able to see the printer.
This being the case, I assume the Mac can print to the printer.
You are trying to get a Win XP PC to connect to the printer.
The Win XP PC is not able to see the printer.
The Win XP PC does not have the printer listed in its "add printers" wizard.

If this is the case, then it is not a Mac problem, but a Windows one. I would suggest finding and installing the printer's drivers on the Windows machine. You also want to be sure to look for Network printers in the Windows wizard, and not a local printer.

make sure that printer sharing is turned on the mac. then go into explorer on the pc and navigate to the mac. you should be able to see the printer and connect to it.
