Download dock

Hey,
After loosing my download icon i've managed to drag the folder to the dock... however when I now download the dock folder doesn't update ( or bounce like the original icon used to)...any advice please???:Shouting:

com.apple.dock.plist and/or com.apple.dock.db might be corrupt

Right click (or control-click) and look under "Display as". Is "Folder" or "Stack" checked? If you want the icon to change, make sure "Stack" is checked.

Mine is Folder and it functions just fine. With Stack checked, the icon in the Dock assumes the characteristics of the first item in the "Stader" or "Folack" (since a Stack is a Folder in the Dock). So, if Stack is selected, the icon will indeed change whenever a new item is added that is both first in line and has a different icon that the previous "top dog".
