no more keyboard backlight!

So I just got my MBP back from having a new logic board and disc drive installed. It has been a few days now and the keyboard back light quit working! I am typing this by the light from the screen only as I am in a dark room and there is no light from the keyboard. I can cover the light sensors and get nothing, I also have labtick and I get nothing with that either. Everything is set right, and it did work when I got it back. Could a SMC reset do it, or is it likely a broken sensor? This really sucks.
