Hi,

I don't understand why, but nowadays, when I close my MacBook and open it some hours later it's often powered off and before, this wasn't the case (except when the battery was really low).

What's also happening is that it sometimes seems powered off (so the little flashing white light is off too). And when I press the power button I heard the sound of the computer turning off, this off course surprises me because I would expect it to power on as i assumed the computer was powered off.

The Macbook is pretty new, bought it in June.

The power saver functions aren't working properly. Try resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). Read the following Apple KB article: LINK If resetting the SMC doesn't resolve the problem, make an appointment with Apple to have them look at it. Your machine should still be under warranty.

Regards.
