• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I purchased a Mini Displayport adapter w/USB to HDMI all-in-one cable from Monoprice.com. Hooked one end in the MBP and ran the other end to the 42" HDTV, and watched hulu.com movies.

Only problem is, there appeared to be a very slight delay between the audio and video on the screen. I didn't see this issue explored on the monoprice website. What causes the delay, is there a setting available to remedy this?

Thanks,
Darrin

If it is just Hulu that has the audio delay, then it seems to me that Hulu is to blame. It may not be a stretch to suggest that their Flash player is at fault.

Try a QuickTime movie on both your main display and then the TV to see if there is a difference in timing.
