I just did a software update to all the latest and greatest and it seems that now iTunes 9 and the new Safari do not want to stay open. Currently running OS X 10.4.11.

I tested it under a new user account (not the admin account) and they both open and function under the new one?

Here's what I've tried so far to remedy:
Reinstalled Safari and iTunes
"Reset" Safari
Un-clicked "Enable Plug-Ins" on Safari
Ran "Repair Permissions" on Disk Utility

I can only think of re-installing my OS, but really do not want to since it's working under the other user account...

Thanks!

Try deleting the preference files.

Users / your user / Library / Preferences

com.apple.Safari.plist
com.apple.iTunes.plist

move them to the desktop

log out and back in

Bummer. I tried deleting these prefs:

com.apple.Safari.plist
com.apple.iTunes.plist

And Safari is still giving me the below wacky message after the spinning beach ball of death. Apparently I am not able to post the code in b.c it is too long, aww shucks. To "The Mac Outlet" I fear I will be going this weekend...
