Hi,
I'm not really familiar with Mirc but I'd like to use it for a chatroom I go on.

Is there a good Mirc client available? Are there nice features, like a sound when someone comes to you by private message?

i use Colloquy it has an mirc style you can install.

It is no where near as good as mirc, but works for me ..... for now.

how do you mention a highlight in colloquy? I've been using it for almost a year and the manual is hopeless. thanks!

well, I've seen that and to be honest dont quite understand how the darn thing works! Say, I want to say something to my manager who always mostly ignores chat activity. The way they call out to me, it makes a noise and displays what they said in a blue window over all my other windows. how can I do that?

I go to highlights, then select say member voiced and write something, then what?

What happens here, is when anyone in the channel says my name,

the line is highlighted, colloquy bounces in the dock, and a beep sound is made. All this can be done through the drop down menu in the screenshot above. Also, if you download growl, it will flash a box of the sentence said, and who said it for 3 seconds, or until you remove it.

Man, I need to subscribe to this thread. Sorry, I never noticed your reply.

Say, I want to "shout" a message to a buddy. How do I do that? Member voiced?
