Beach ball issue (freezing browser)

I have tried every single browser there is.

When ever I get a facebook chat Message,
When ever I watch some videos on certain sites,
When ever I open a Gmail email

My browser becomes unresponsive and freezes.

I bought a mac so this wouldn't happen. And now it still is.

What is wrong with my Macbook?

I have a black Macbook purchased in 2008 running 10.5.8

Perhaps the problem is with your ISP, not your computers. Details?

Good point. Perhaps you could try you MB at a couple public WiFi spots with strong signals and see if the troubles persist...
