I recently purchased a new 21.5", 1 Tb iMac. It's been running beautifully so far. Last night I noticed that I could hear my hard drive grinding away. It's definitely not a bad sound, I'm just pretty sure that for the first couple of weeks that I had the computer it never made the noise (it's been and still is otherwise silent). Is it possible that I just never noticed it or could I have caused this (too much strain on the drive from booting over and over trying to load Win7 or something)? Thanks!
...and just to be clear, it's definitely not a failing hard drive kind of grind. It's a really normal hard drive access sound (although I hear it pretty constantly).
