I have had issues running limewire on my mac. I have the unibody. I've downloaded limewire 3 seperate times and always slows down my mac, it goes unresponsive on me and the only way to get out of all this is to force quit which I hate doing.
I've heard that limewire is prob. the best downloading for music and I've used it before and worked well when I had xp. So why now??? I have the limewire pro(13.95). :/

Anyways, it takes forever to search for songs, it's almost like I have to wait for a song to load before starting a new search, unlike when back in the day I could search multiple songs all at once. So far, those are my gripes w/limewire.

Any suggestions on how to fix this (probable) easy problem or another good downloading site?

>>how's bearshare or Kazaa?
ps-don't recommend Bit-torrents to me please haha.

Thanks in advance!!

Have you tried running Repair Disk Permission ??

My only answer ATM. I have no probs running limewire and when i had a Windows PC Bearshare seemed to be better and quicker than Limewire.

Cheers

I wouldn't recommend any Gnutella network client whatsoever. Not only do these products open holes in your client's security, but they are heavily policed by the RIAA and MPAA. You are basically asking for a lawsuit if you're still using that network these days.

Torrents are far much a better method than using Limewire today. As cwa107 says, you're practically asking for a lawsuit by using it.

Not that you should use any sort of illegal methods to come about owning software you haven't paid for.

Well of course I have never been one to encourage the illegal distribution of software...

I may have participated in it though =p
