I have the opportunity to purchase a Apple 30' Display for $900 off of craigslist. The guy gave me the serial number and I confirmed with Mac
that it was purchased new in 2005 and have never been repaired or refurbished.

I am supposed to go see it tonight. What should I look for? Is $900 too much for a 4 year old display? How much would you pay?

It will be used in a recording studio.

Give it a test run first and check for dud pixels - some flicker a bit so i would give it chance to get to operating temp.

I'd be suspicious. That's really cheap for a 30 foot display.
