Often, on my iMac, the window(s) in which I'm working (e.g., Word, aol, Safari) disappear, fleeing to the sides, leaving the desktop empty. I have to click on the application in the dock to make it reappear. It's annoying. Anyone have any ideas?

You're probably activating Exposé somehow.

Check your System Preferences to make sure that you don't have your mouse or some hot key set to activate it.

I have my MBP set to where if I move my cursor to the top right of the screen all windows disappear and I see desktop. If I move it back to the top right, it'll all come back.

It doesn't matter if I'm doing it slow or fast, but if my mouse goes to the corner it'll do it.

Go to System PReferences_Expose & Spaces and then look (under the Expose bar) at the settings around the monitor in the Prefs.

Hope that helps.

Think they got it right after six years?
