I have a Power Mac G5, vintage 2004 that needs a new hard drive. The nice "Genius" at the Apple store recommended I get a Western Digital Caviar Green WD20EADS 2TB 32 MB drive, rather than the one Apple would sell me. I am a Photographer, love my computer and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the subject they would care to share. I would be grateful.

You might wish to take a look at what "Other World Computing" has to offer in the way of hard drives. They specialize in Macs and have a very good reputation among Mac users. I've purchased from them before and have always been satisfied with their service.
