logic board charger

iMac 2.5GHz i5, MBP 15" intel core 2.16GHz, MBP 13" intel core duo, iPhone, iPad2
so i posted that my logic board was fried a while back and ask for options, then gave up BUT we tried a battery a couple days ago from a friends macbook and the computer turned on and worked fine. So my conclusion is that its just the charger portion that got messed up?
Anyone know of a way to fix the charger without replacing the logic board?

Way... way too many specs to list.
if it's the charging system then it's all integrated to the system... there's a magsafe connector board, that's separate and I think about $80
