You do not need an amplifier. They have one built in. I think you just need an RCA to mini-jack cable to connect them.

No problem. The 40 in the name is there for the 2x20 watt built in amp I am guessing.

Yea, you just need the RCA jacks. If you look at the other picture and zoom in, you can see the inputs.
