Power Mac G4 won't recognize Mac Mini hard drive

Hello! My 1.66GHz Mac Mini died last week and I pulled the hard drive out to salvage the information. I purchased a sled and am trying to read the data on my PowerMac G4 Digital Audio. It will not recognize the information or allow my to access it.

I am obviously missing something, but I honestly cannot think of what it might be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My plan is to try to salvage the information and then upgrade the processor on my Power Mac.

I think it's an ATA vs SATA incompatibility - Mini SATA: PMG4 ATA. What do you mean by "sled"? You can use a USB/SATA adaptor kit to extract data from the Mini's HD.

Think you are better off upgrading your machine to a G5 which uses SATA drives. CPU upgrades are just uneconomical as prices for used G5's fall. Do a search on CPU upgrades in these forums for more information.
