Can you please explain exactly what product you bought.
Parallels Desktop for Mac or Parallels Desktop for WIN/Linux or ......

You will need to install the right product in the right operating system environment.

I am not a specialist on the Parallels product, but my guess is that what you are trying to achieve is not possible.

There are more experienced members on the Forum with regards to Parallels, so just wait a little longer and someone will come back to you with a more reliable answer ;D

I use Fusion, not Parallels, but both products allow you to create virtual machines from an existing Boot Camp installation of Windows. Parallels should recognize the Boot Camp partition and offer to create a virtual machine from it - Fusion does just that. Booted into Mac OS, I open Fusion and select create a new virtual machine. There is an option to do so from the existing Boot Camp partition.

I would suggest going to Mac Virtual Machines and Virtual PC. Automation and Virtualization Software for Desktops, Servers, Hosting, SaaS - Parallels (the current version is version 5, FYI) and review the online manual and documentation, and ask questions in their forum if you don't get an answer here. But I believe it's definitely possible - I did just that with my older version of Fusion no problems.

Cheers

thats the problem i have, i can't find that option to create new virtual machine from existing windows on boot camp, i tried and tried, and always ask me to put the DVD on it, or iso, but i don't wanna re-install it due to i have already updated, and install some important programs, but if does not work i think the only way to do is remove the windows i have and re-install through parallel.......
