• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi All, Can anybody help me with this problem.
I have just tried installing FCStudio 2 onto my HD that runs Leopard 5.7.
Everything was installed ok except for FCPro itself, which requested an update before it can be installed.
How can I update FCP before it is installed.

Mmm puzzling

Are you sure it's not a systems update it's requesting, or maybe Quicktime?

If it's not and it requests a FCP update, then you must still or accidentally have something installed already, uninstall that then and try again.

Thanks Sur3Mac for your speedy response.
It's possible that there is an older version of FCP, although there's no sign of it in the applications folder.
The question is, how do I uninstall the remnants of an older version.
