Mail message window

I feel really dumb about this; I must have accidentally hit a key and can't find anything in Mail Help; you know how you can see the email message when it comes in? I only see the subject line now. Very cumbersome to have to open each message to see what's in the email and I know that it will eventually drive me mad. Anyone know the fix? Thanks!

Look at the bottom of your Mail window, is there a bar with a little "dot" in the middle? If so, drag it back up to the middle (or however high you want) and you'll see the preview again.
