SystemUIServer owning cpu after i switched some icons

Can anyone tell me why since I changed my trash and safari icons, my Sys UI Server is pwning my cpu hard? I also had attempted to change my finder icon... but it didn't work out too well... maybe that's why?

Mate what i have found out about it, seems to be a bug in the system with SL, something to do with daylight saving. If you disable the time and date from showing in the menu bar, that might fix it, or change the date to 1 day ahead until the 1st is over with.

Oh, alright. Good. Thanks. My CPU usage has dropped slightly. SysUI is still using a lot more than it should be, but my processor isn't ramping up to 100% capacity all the time anymore.

The problem is indeed linked to DST. At 1AM this morning, SystemUIServer went to town on me. See here for more info.

Thank you guys. Yea, I noticed it when I was doing nothing but browsing and my laptop was soaring up to 89 C. That was insane!

It was insane, i got a spike that bad when running PS and online that i got the freezes. Had to do a force shut down after 2 mins of having no joy. Something to look out for in the 6.2 update
