Refresh rate?

I could be wrong on this, but I thought all LCDs are locked into 60Hz since the technology doesn't exhibit the flicker associated with low refresh rates and CRT monitors.

I'm guessing the OP is thinking about what seems to be selling LCD TV's these days. LCD TV's used to be 60Hz...then they went 120Hz...now I think the top of the line LCD TV's are 240Hz.

With the benefit being smoother action.

It's very likely (I'm guessing)...that most LCD computer monitors are still 60hz (except maybe high end ones)...including iMacs.

To be very honest...I was familiar with the faster refresh rates for LCD TV's (only due to researching the purchase of a large screen TV for the living room), but I wasn't as familiar with higher refresh rates for computer monitors. So with inspiration from this thread...I did a little extra research!;)
