Iphone 3gs and skype

3gs will work for a while with skype then for some strange reason skpe will start to tell me that i'm not online when I know i am. It will work again with a re install BUT you will lose all the contacts that you have brought over from address book and painfully inserted a "1" on from of. Big waste of time!
Anyone else have this problem?
