Keychain/password saving problems

Recently applications like Mail and Adium keep prompting me to enter passwords every so often even though I have previously saved them into keychain. Even though I keep re-saving the passwords both programs keep prompting me to re-enter the passwords after 10 minutes or so.

Any thoughts on how to sort this?

Your Mac's Specs
13" MBA. 15" MBP. iPhone 4. 3G Pad 2.
Open Keychain from the Utilities folder
Under Keychain Access on the menu bar you have Keychain first Aid.
Try running that..
