Hi,

I have a 15" 1.25 ghz Powerbook which is not booting up. It doesn't boot with the a/c adapter that i have, as well as the a/c adapter that the apple store tried with it. They even put a new battery in it. the last time it booted was about 3 weeks ago, i hadn't touched it again until Wednesday when i got the new a/c adapter. It refuses to start the fan, the hard drive, or the screen. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

You could have a bad input power board but that will involve further testing. If it won't startup from battery or AC that makes the input power board suspect.

I'm surprised the folks at the Apple store you went to didn't check that out for you.

Regards.

yeah, me too. apparently they're not allowed to test any hardware that is 5 years old or older, which in my opinion, is asinine. It seems just to be a ploy from apple to get people to say "o well...if my hardware isn't supported, then i might as well buy a new laptop!"

Anyhow, I am thinking i will buy a dc board. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
