Hi, can anyone help with this please.

If i try to Start my macbook using the battery power nothing happens.

If i connect the mains supply initially it will not start, if i wait about 2 minutes it starts.

For me this shows a classic case that the battery is dead.

HERE IS THE ODD BIT - Once the Mac has started the battery level shows 95% - if i disconnect the power cable the mac carries on running on battery power as normal.

The battery charges fine, have run it down to about 70% and recharged ok.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sur3mac

thank you for the reply, some how i seemed to of fixed this. I dont have a clue how.

the only things i did was: 1. removed the battery, pressed power button for 5 seconds. Read this somewhere. This didn't seem to have fixed the problem. 2. changed some settings on the power management. This still didn't seem to have worked. Came to turn it on later yesterday evening and it started ok. its started several times since.

Again thanks for the reply, if this happens again i will try what you suggested

regards
