A little like the other thread, "what song are you listening to",
only in this one you can actually listen to what the other members post.

The idea is to post a URL which directs to a you tube page or so.

Preferably songs native to where you live, or local bands.
Also I would like to see reactions of members as to what they think of whatever they listened to.

See if this works:) I'll start.... This is by a band called Krezip, they originated in the Netherlands, and are really populair, or were... they recently split up.:(
But nevertheless, a perfect song IMHO

Ill play ...... This song is by a band that isnt native to Australia .. But this women has such a amazing voice... 5.1 surround is best for her. Its one of my favorites reason being it was my wedding song for the bride and groom dance.

Love the slow start then leads into a more upbeat song.

The lyrics bring tears to my eyes to this day
Lamb- Gorecki

And yes thats a nice mellow song you, youtubed Sur3MAc ....... ;D

Green Carnation - Maybe?

This is a song by a Norwegian band, they're performing live under an old wooden dam in Norway. Theremin solo toward the middle/end!

Ok here's a couple from my favorite artist. They represent the two extremes of the music he does. From funny to put your head in the oven sad ! I hope you all enjoy!

Ladies and gentleman I give you Paul Thorn...

Ok Ok, I need to look at everyone else's choices yet, but in the meantime...

Possibly my all time favorite Thrash song/band, and this live version is just killer...

Not really following the lead here. But, can't pick a top song.

My favorite artist for nigh on 40 years now - John Martyn - may you rest in peace John. Here are a few.

From his '71 album 'Bless the Weather' - Head and Heart

Solo acoustic - Live in '73 - May You Never

From One World - '77 - Couldn't Love You More
Has a great version of this song on his '81 album Glorious Fool with Eric Clapton on guitar, Phil Collins on percussion and produced by Collins.

'86 - John's cover of Over the Rainbow

Can't mention John without this song - performed live in Dublin - duet with Danny Thompson - '87 - Solid Air

Live with Eddi Reader - '98 - He Got All the Whiskey

Shot during rehearsal - '98 - Excuse Me Mister

Ok, had a listen to some others posted.

Easy listening seems to be the order. Lamb I know of and quite like, but I did really like Krezip too. She has a nice voice.

Another favorite of mine....

So bobtomay... you probably like Jack Johnson as well.:)

Kevriano, you don't have to excuse yourself, I play Morbid Angel, Slayer, and even Deicide... so I kinda like all kinds of music:)

Morbid Angel - Blessed are the Sick
The Cult - Sweet Soul Sister
Living Colour - Type This ones from the old days, probably the only Afro-American band playing Hardrock/Metal(ish) music. Just finished College when I heard this first...:)
