Learing Dreamweaver & Flash...

Hey all,


I'm looking to learn a bit about web development. I have the Adobe Design Premium CS4 suite and as such Dw, Fw and Fl are totally unused - I want to change that...

Just wondering if you guys know of any good resources to get a absolute beginner started in this area.

Not sure if you need to learn the syntax or the actual program? In any case, for the syntax, W3Schools Online Web Tutorials is an excellent beginners resource. And all of the programs in CS4 or CS3 have an awesome help section. Especially flash! Flash has actual books in a digital version within the help section. Good luck and keep on it and it will get easier.

Oh for sure! It's perfect for the basics of most languages. I even find myself going back for correct syntax on things that I learned 10yrs ago, but forgot.

I've been working with DW for a long time now. CS2, CS3 and now CS4. I don't use any of the other software, but honestly wish I knew how to work with them and design flash, etc.

Anyway...My favorite resource when I was just learning dreamweaver and one that I still use today to check back for things is Lynda.com (dont worry not an affiliate link or anything).

It is something like $29 a month or some where along those lines, but with step by step video instruction I think it's very much worth it. I know that you can also find some pretty good step by step videos online some place for free as well I just prefer lynda.

$25 p/m is darn good considering the quality of the lessons and the different apps it actually covers.
