Magic Mouse & VMware

First let me apologize if I am posting in the wrong thread.

I ordered Apples new Magic Mouse on Tuesday last week. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I didn't think it all the way through. I run Windows on VMware.

I did a google and found 1 guy in another forum who theorizes it will work. I'd like to know what you guys think.

One thing I noticed: I can't run blue tooth on Mac and VM ware simultaneously. I have to turn it off Windows for Mac to search for devices.

Anybody have the Magic Mouse and VMware? Any help at all is appreciated of course.

VMWare installs a generic mouse driver so I'd assume it would work as a normal mouse.

I doubt the multi-touch features like swiping would work though...

Could be wrong though.

hmmmm....That's good news. I probably won't be getting it until later this month or early November. Maybe someone will get it before me and post. I don't really care about the fancy features in Windows. I just want basic mouse functionality.

Never had a problem with BT devices and VMWare. Essentially the host OS provides the drivers, so compatibility issues should be nil.

In my searching around I noticed VMware has a version 3 coming out. Upgrade for 40 bucks. It's suppose to make it even more Storm Leopard friendly, which is what my OS is. I looked specifically for mention of Magic Mouse but there wasn't any.

I haven't had any problems with VMware and my Mac. I suppose if there is an issue I could upgrade. Probably will anyway.

Just thought I'd get back to you guys on this. Not only does it work on VMware as a mouse it is fully functional. Cool toy, glad I got it. Waiting on my wireless keyboard next
