Internet Tracking Software

We are looking into internet tracking software for our Mac to monitor the current internet activity. What is the best software for Macs? Also, do you know if these softwares can even track what has happened under Safari's Private Browsing option or if it still stores and tracks history that has been deleted and removed?

Have you tried the built-in Parental Controls (information on this page)? I imagine it does track all history, though I haven't tried it.
