syncing ringtones

hi. i have an iphone 3gs. i choose to manually manage my music, so i can pick and choose what songs i have on there.

this raises a really annoying problem:

when i want to sync a new ringtone i get this message:

are you sure you want to sync ringtones? all music and videos will be removed.

is there anyway i can add ringtones manually, as i do with music? or will i just have to accept losing my music??

When you sync ringtones you also have to sync music also but iTunes will only sync the songs you tell it to" checked songs" so select music and select ring tones and you won't get that message anymore.
